Learn more about her story: "I live in Bakal in Barisal district, Bangladesh. At a certain point in my life, I faced a very difficult situation. When I was in eighth grade, my family arranged my marriage, but I did not agree to this marriage. I knew the consequences of child marriage from the her-choice program at our school organised by the Hunger Project. For example, the risks of child marriage include early pregnancy, malnutrition of the babies, and even death. I asked for help from my teacher, who persuaded my parents to stop the marriage. I don't want to get married because I want to become a nurse first and help others in society. I want to show my parents that a girl can stand on her own two feet."Last year, the JustPlay App's players donated over 82,000 times to the Hunger Project.
